Laundry Tips
  • Soak stains from white shirts in Oxy-clean and apply laundry soap
directly to stain.  The key is to let it soak overnight.

  • Your dish soap will take greasy stains from colored clothing.

  • Scrub your tennis shoes with a Shout stick and throw them in the wash.
Even the leather ones come out looking new.

  • Put your kid’s sandals in the wash to get them clean.

  • Yes, you may even wash your soccer cleats in the washer!

  • Avoid much of your ironing. After washing, place clothes in the dryer for
5 minutes.  Take item from dryer and pull on the seams and hang
immediately.  Thicker fabrics may take 10 minutes.  You should only have
to touch up with an iron – if at all.

  • Dry clothes in the dryer for only 5 minutes.  When they are warm and
soft, hang them so that you do not have to iron them very much or
    possibly not at all!

  • When bringing in coats, remember that they float in the wash.  In order
to get them clean, empty the pockets, treat the cuffs and zipper area
with a stain stick and scrub fabric on fabric.  Put them in the wash with
something heavy and like color and wash.

  • Wash your polar fleece inside out with like colors to lessen the pilling.
We recommend using clothes shaver to remove pills.

  • Check Halloween costumes for party and makeup residue.  These need
to be as clean as possible

  • PAM cooking spray may be used to remove adhesive residue on toys
    and equipment
